Miss Virginia wins Miss America 2010

Miss America 2010Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron is the new winner at Miss American 2010. The 22-year-old beauty from Fredericksburg, VA won the top honors in the popular beauty contest held on Saturday that gives her a $50,000 scholarship and the coveted Miss America 2010 crown.

Caressa Cameron sang ‘Listen’, the hit song of Beyonce from the hit movie, ‘Dreamgirls’ and answered a difficult question on teen obesity.

The new Miss America 2010 was a student at Virginia Commonwealth University and has pursued a broadcast communication degree. The new Miss America 2010 wants to complete a Mass Communications Masters degree and follow it with a top news anchor position for television. BTW, she looks stunning in a bikini swimsuit too!

Cameron has been on the Virginia Commonwealth University’s dean’s list and has received several academic honors. She has received more than $35,000 in scholarship money in 2009 because of her participation in the Miss America Organization. The Virginia native is also an active campaigner for AIDS awareness and supports the cause across the nation.


She has also been given a President’s Volunteer Service Award and Congressional Honor for her community service in VA. The new Miss America 2010 had a lot of time during the Miss Virginia pageant, winning several talent and preliminary swimsuit rounds. Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron can now proudly wear the Miss America 2010 crown and give a big boost to the causes close to her heart.
